Summary
Dania Ooni of the San Mateo County Office of Education thanked district staff for the Frontline ERP implementation that began March 2024 and said SMCOE paid roughly $5.6 million covering licensing, consultants and overtime during rollout.
Dania Ooni, executive director of district business services at the San Mateo County Office of Education, told the Belmont Redwood Shores board on Sept. 11 that county staff appreciated BRSSD administrators’ work implementing the Frontline California ERP system. Ooni said the county had been working on the system since March 2024 and that SMCOE covered implementation costs of approximately $5,600,000, including licensing, consultant time and overtime to support multiple districts.
Ooni told trustees, “We believe that the implementation has been successful because SMCOE has not received any complaints that your July and pay August payrolls are incorrect,” and she publicly thanked a list of district staff by name for their work during the transition. Superintendent Deguara and trustees acknowledged the effort and said the district is now in an enhancement and continuous improvement phase.
Ending: County and district staff said the new ERP should improve payroll, retirement reporting, leave tracking and financial reporting; staff asked the board to recognize the district team’s work.
