Superintendent and staff told the board that combined staff and community facilities advisory teams are meeting at UW–Green Bay with the district’s owner’s representative, Cadence Consultant’s Mike Hacker, to develop a single set of recommendations on the district’s facilities footprint and grade alignment. The teams are nearing the end of their work and plan to present recommendations to the board at a special meeting the board will schedule next month for a fuller review.
Board members asked that the presentation be made to the full board rather than routed through committee only. The board discussed calendar conflicts and asked staff to confirm dates with Mr. Hacker; members tentatively proposed Thursday, Oct. 30, at 6:00 p.m. for the special facilities presentation, with the understanding that the date would be confirmed or adjusted after checking stakeholder availability.
Officials emphasized the upcoming presentation is informational: the advisory teams will present combined recommendations and later the board will consider next steps, expected to include follow-up details and possibly policy or capital decisions at subsequent meetings. No final facilities decision was made during the meeting.
