Staff also reported a vendor quote for the Piney River pump station of $263,103 (equipment/specifications) and a turnkey installation quote of $425,740. The FY‑26 budget includes $323,125 for the project; staff said they are seeking additional bids and ways to reduce the installation cost before proceeding. Staff noted that installation timing will be affected by manufacturing lead times (vendor estimated 24 to 38 weeks after approved submittal) and required DEQ coordination.
Staff emphasized that rate changes and connection fee adjustments are proposed to align system costs with the Service Authority and to cover long‑term operation and maintenance; the public hearing will allow residents to comment before the board takes a final vote.
