Blue Earth County awards ditch repair contracts for Ditch 25, 26 and 73; hearing set for Ditch 89

For County Ditch 26, six quotes were submitted and the engineer's estimate was $187,525.70. ISG recommended Larson Contracting as the low bidder with a lump-sum quote of $155,597.63; the drainage authority approved the award to Larson Contracting.
County Ditch 73 drew a single bid. The engineer's estimate was $106,254.51; Leland Excavating and Drainage submitted a bid of $122,535. ISG recommended Leland Excavating and Drainage and the drainage authority approved the contract in that amount.
Staff also presented a repair report and said an informational landowner meeting for County Ditch 89 was held Aug. 20. The board set a public hearing on proposed repairs to County Ditch 89 for Sept. 23, 2025.
Speakers and attribution: The drainage items were presented by a county drainage staff member identified in the record as Craig; ISG engineering recommendations were reported through that presentation. Motions to award and to set the hearing were moved and seconded by commissioners and carried.
