Greene County commissioners on Sept. 11 approved a renewal of the county’s contract with SmartBill, the vendor that performs utility billing and mailing services for the Sanitary Engineering department.
A county staff presenter said, “They do all of our utility billing and mailing at Sanitary Engineering.” Commissioners approved a motion to renew the SmartBill agreement and to authorize the county administrator to sign the contract.
Commissioner Gould voted aye and Commissioner Mays voted aye; the motion passed. The meeting record did not include the renewal term length or the annual cost of the contract.
The renewal keeps external vendor billing services in place for the county’s sanitary-engineering utility functions; any future changes to vendor terms or pricing were not discussed at the meeting.
