County releases developer securities for SugarPoint and Sugar Creek subdivisions

Greene County commissioners on Sept. 11 approved release of performance bonds for SugarPoint sections 1 and 2 and a letter of credit release for The Landings at Sugar Creek, section 3, after county staff reported required infrastructure work was complete.
A county staff presenter told commissioners the releases represent a 100% release for sanitary sewer and water lines in SugarPoint sections 1 and 2, and a 100% release for streets, storm facilities, sidewalks and survey markers for The Landings at Sugar Creek, section 3. “This is a 100% release for street storm sidewalk and survey markers for the landings at Sugar Creek edition section 3,” the staff member said.
Commissioners moved and seconded motions to approve the releases. For the SugarPoint bond releases, Commissioner Gould voted aye and Commissioner Mays voted aye. For the Sugar Creek letter-of-credit release, Commissioners Gould and Mays likewise recorded aye votes; both motions passed.
The releases relieve the developers of the listed security obligations because the county determined the required public improvements have been completed to the county’s satisfaction. No new financial commitments or additional county funding were reported at the meeting.
