The Kankakee County Board on Sept. 9 approved a professional services agreement supplement (Phase 2 design) with Hampton, Lanzini & Renwick Inc. and appropriated Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds for design of a bridge replacement on County Highway 14 in Moments Township, with the supplement amount read into the record as $6,000. The highways presentation noted the matter was before the board for authorization of design engineering services and appropriation of MFT funds to cover the supplement. A board member clarified the amount during the meeting, saying, “the amount for that is $6,000 just so everyone knows.” The board approved the supplement on a roll-call vote. The action authorizes staff to proceed with design engineering under the supplement; the meeting did not include an updated construction schedule or total project cost in open session.
