The City Council approved an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Yuma that allows the San Luis Police Department to use Yuma’s public safety training facility for training over a five-year term, Lieutenant Emmanuel Botello told the council.

Botello said the agreement permits San Luis officers to use the facility on Avenue 4 E in Yuma “when needed.” He said the agreement’s term is five years, starting on the effective date of signature by the last signing party. No fees or cost-sharing specifics were presented at the meeting.

A motion to approve and adopt order 2025-10 carried by voice vote with no recorded nays.
