Jacqueline, the department’s programming lead, demonstrated the parks’ newly launched website at the Sept. 10 meeting and reviewed upcoming seasonal programs. The site, built on Squarespace, includes a homepage video, staff bios, links to CivicRec for program registration and social‑media handles, Jacqueline said.
Jacqueline said staff are beginning a digital recreation guide for 2026 and will publish a PDF and QR codes placed around parks. She said staff applied for a SIA grant to fund an inflatable movie screen, projector and speakers and that movie licensing costs have risen (from about $500 previously to about $600 per title). Jacqueline outlined a schedule of events and partnerships: a pop‑up in the park with 11 dogs and 19 attendees, a November pop‑up to preview movies at Merry Mac’s (free admission, $5 concessions), a Great Pumpkin Roll to recycle pumpkins, and an expanded Trick‑or‑Treat business trail with 19 participating businesses.
Administrator Jan Folly added that Christmas in the Park display sponsors and a CCVB grant were confirmed; the department plans to add holospex glasses to the event. No formal board action was required; staff asked the board to note program dates and partnerships.
