Community Development reports 195 permits and $10,640 in deposits for August

The Community Development Department reported 195 permits issued in August and total deposits of $10,640.90, the department told the board on Sept. 10.

Department head Rob Brenowans said the permits included 67 building permits or change-of-occupancy filings, 35 contractor registrations, 69 yard-sale permits, five electrician licenses and a variety of sign, electrical, temporary-use and home-occupancy permits. The department noted one variance in the month.

The board approved the Community Development monthly report by motion and voice vote. No code-enforcement disputes or budget requests tied to the monthly report were presented at the meeting.
