The School City of East Chicago Board of Trustees on Sept. 9 approved a subscription agreement for VoiceMaster software to support district communications.

Trustee Diane Smith moved to approve the VoiceMaster software agreement and Trustee Gomez seconded. During roll call the majority of trustees voted in favor; Ms. Simmons and district technology staff will finalize the subscription and implement the system.

Why it matters: Districtwide communication systems can affect parent outreach, emergency notifications and internal messaging. The administration indicated the agreement will be implemented by the technology team working with district staff.

What’s next: Technology staff will proceed with the subscription and integrate the service for district communications.
