County approves $10,500 in sponsorships for LEPC summit bringing emergency-preparedness partners together

The Cumberland County commissioners approved acceptance of five sponsorship payments totaling $10,500 to help offset the cost of the 2025 Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) summit, county public safety staff said.
James Brandt, appearing online for the Department of Public Safety, told commissioners the one-day summit brings together county businesses, safety personnel, emergency management, first responders and government officials for training and presentations about emergency preparedness. He listed the most recent sponsors: Care Environmental ($1,000, gold), Servpro Team Wall Harrisburg West ($500, silver), and Cargill, Classic Dry Cleaners and Laundromats, and PA One Call Systems ($250 each, bronze).
Brandt said the event planning committee had reached a total of 20 sponsors and that the county appreciated the organizations’ support. Commissioners voted to accept the sponsorship money and apply it toward 2025 summit expenses.
