Antoine Molinelli Fooster told the council he will seek material sponsorships from local businesses and raise the remaining funds through fundraising sales; he estimated materials at $379, supplies $29 and a total project cost of $609.
The request came during the meeting’s visitor segment. Borough staff confirmed they will assist the candidate with permitting and coordination if council approves. A councilor moved to permit the work, another seconded, and the motion passed with all members voting in favor.
The council did not attach conditions to the approval in the meeting discussion. Borough staff said they will follow up with the scout about signature pages and logistics.
Antoine thanked council members before leaving the meeting; several members praised his preparation and offered help arranging volunteers.
