Commissioners approve Efficiency Network for courthouse roof and lighting project

County staff said three vendors responded to the solicitation; all three were deemed qualified. The county solicitor, controller and staff reviewed proposals. Jason (staff) recommended the Efficiency Network based on a strong reference from the county's energy broker, Christy Lynn Energy Services. The scope discussed in the meeting includes roofing work on the original courthouse and a county‑wide lighting retrofit covering the courthouse and other county buildings. Commissioners emphasized the need to realize energy and cost savings before winter and noted the selection was for professional services, not a sealed bid contract. The board adopted the resolution by roll call (Commissioner Sonata, Commissioner Kennedy and Commissioner Vogler voting yes). County staff said the agreement will provide a single point of contact for implementation and that additional facility projects may follow.
