Pasco honors GISA Credit Union with Partners in Kindness award for donations and school support

Superintendent Whitney presented a Partners in Kindness Award (also called a Pink Award) to GISA Credit Union for financial and in-kind support to Pasco students and schools. "The Pink Award is given to community members and organizations who contribute more than $1,000 in goods, services, or financial support to benefit Pasco students and schools," Whitney said, and the district said GISA had donated "more than $100,000" in recent months.
Whitney highlighted several contributions including sponsorship of the district's back-to-school Tri-City Dust Devils Night, funding for an All Staff Employee Expo and sponsorship of the district's 2025-26 PSD calendar. She also described a partnership in which a portion of transactions on an Affinity debit/credit-card program returns funds to the district to support career and technical education; the district described that program's recent contribution as roughly $68,000.
GISA representatives Brandon Allison and Trish McBride accepted the award on the credit union's behalf. Whitney and board members praised the partnership's role in providing student work-training opportunities; the presentation noted that some high schools host on-site credit-union centers where students can get practical experience. "GISA Credit Union lives their motto: people helping people in everything they do," Whitney said.
