Commission reappoints members to human resources board, names Wiregrass RC&D reps; Florella Airport appointment deferred

The Covington County Commission announced and approved several board appointments and reappointments at the Sept. 9 meeting.
The commission identified three Department of Human Resources members whose terms expire Sept. 30 — Wallace Bush, Dickie Gilbert and Faye Seitler — and commissioners said the individuals wished to be reappointed. A motion to reappoint them was made and seconded; the commission approved the reappointments by voice vote.
For the Wiregrass Resource Conservation & Development Council, the commission confirmed continuing service by Mr. Lynn Ross and Kenneth Northey, with commissioners noting both have helped secure funding through the program. The commission approved the appointments.
The commission discussed a Florella Airport appointment that must be redone and asked county staff to provide documents at the next meeting. Miss Morgan (county staff) said she would pull the file and have information ready for the next meeting; the appointment will be handled as a joint appointment with the town of Florella.
No contested nominations or ballot votes were recorded in the meeting minutes.
