OPRF parent urges update on district response to anti‑Jewish incidents, asks for Convergence follow‑up

Alan Paris told the Oak Park and River Forest High School Board of Education on Sept. 11 that he is concerned about anti‑Jewish conduct in the district and asked the board for a public update on a Convergence‑branded program the district launched last August. "A year has come by, and I haven't seen any public report," Paris said during the public‑comment period. "So it leads me to wonder what is going on, and I know that that was supposed to be the cornerstone of the OPRF activities regarding, anti Jewish activities. So what I'd like to do is, ask you to let us know, let the community know what the convergence status is and what OPRF will be doing to combat anti Jewish hate on campus and in the community."
