Superintendent: district signs partnership expansion, approves HB 96 cyber resolution, trainer amendment and several nonroutine trips

The board approved an amendment to the district’s athletic trainer agreement with the Cleveland Clinic to allow physicians to provide athletic-training services as needed because of provider shortages. The superintendent said the amendment formalizes an existing practice of using physicians when necessary.
The board also approved the district’s annual Student Wellness and Success funds plan. Finally, the board approved four nonroutine field trips: an Italy and Germany trip led by the social-studies department (teacher names not clearly specified in the transcript); the French club’s trip to Quebec during spring break 2027; a Delphian Corral trip to Pittsburgh in May; and an overnight trip for two students to the Columbus area to present tick-research work they have been doing with Mr. Brady. In discussion, the board noted some of the trips are costly and approval now allows students to begin fundraising.
