Committee forwards building-authority and parks-board reappointments to full board

A county committee reviewed expiring terms for the Building Authority and Parks & Recreation and forwarded multiple reappointment nominations to the full Board of Commissioners.

Committee members discussed several appointments for boards and authorities that expire at the end of the calendar year. Commissioners proposed reappointments and nominations including Parks Commissioner Banks and others named in the meeting packet. Commissioner Taylor moved to recommend a set of appointments for both items A and B; the motion was seconded and the clerk recorded the committee vote as 6–0 in favor. The nominations have been forwarded to the full board for final consideration.

No substantive debate or formal objections were recorded during the committee vote; committee members said some items will return for discussion if additional materials arrive before the board meeting.

The committee also noted that recommendations from the Retirement Board had not yet been received, and those nominees will be considered separately when the Retirement Board's recommendation arrives. The forwarded nominations will appear on the board agenda for final action.
