The Bulloch County Board of Commissioners took several routine and procurement votes during the meeting; most motions passed unanimously.

The board first approved the meeting’s general agenda and then approved the consent agenda by voice vote with three items pulled for separate discussion (items 12, 13 and 15). The consent agenda, as read, included minutes approvals and multiple purchases and renewals, among them:

- Installation of underground power service for corporate hangars at the Statesboro–Bulloch County Airport by Georgia Power, $25,000.
- FY2026 Motorola radio purchase from Motorola Solutions Inc., $39,891.03.
- Bid from Rockstar Graphics Inc. for 2026 season basketball uniforms, $16,900.
- Purchase and installation of a playground at Fletcher Park from Play South Playground Creators, $248,302.36.
- Purchase and refurbishing of a water feature/trio-slide at Splash in the Burrow by Bridal Slider News Service LLC, $138,916.
- Multiple vehicle purchases for various departments from Allen Vigil Ford Lincoln Government Sales and Allen J Fleet Sales (detailed below), some to be paid from FY2026 SPLOST funds.
- Renewals for certain 2026 alcoholic beverage package-retail licenses (for businesses with current 2025 licenses).

Items pulled for separate consideration were taken up one-by-one:

- Item 12: Approve purchase of a 2026 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD crew cab pickup and a 2026 Ford Maverick SuperCrew pickup for Buildings and Facilities, total $107,921.60. Daryl Hopkins, buildings and facilities manager, said the Maverick would be used on the custodial side to haul secured supplies; the motion passed unanimously.

- Item 13: Approve purchase of a 2026 Chrysler Pacifica (front-wheel drive) and a 2026 Chevy Express 3500 passenger van for the Correctional Institute, total $107,898.95. Warden Robert Toole said the procurement replaces two 15-passenger vans with one new 15-passenger van and one minivan for smaller local transports; the motion passed unanimously.

- Item 15: Adopt resolution for FY25CPE05 roadway design batch 1 (see separate report). County attorney said the resolution documents the approval date so the county can meet statutory advertising requirements if condemnation is necessary; the motion passed unanimously.

Other consent items were approved as read. Following these actions, the board moved to an executive session under OCGA 50-14-2.1 to discuss potential litigation.

Why it matters: The votes authorize spending for public-safety equipment, parks infrastructure, fleet replacements, and airport infrastructure and advance a roadway-design package that enables project advertising and potential right-of-way actions.
