Jennifer, assessor/GIS staff, reported on behalf of the assessor’s office and GIS.
She said Tyler Didier has completed required coursework and is interested in taking the Dixon Township assessor position; Didier is described as a licensed appraiser and is working with county staff and township trustees to assume the role.
Jennifer said Lee County received expanded Esri enterprise products and licensing after the city of Dixon approved an agreement last month; the county will host access for the city of Dixon and Lee County 911. She added that assessment work for the 2025 quadrennial reassessment is nearly complete, with reviews of farmland, farm buildings and residential properties done and building cost tables and land review in final stages. New construction values are being finalized and valuation sheets will undergo quality control before publication.
The GIS office completed land use updates for the reassessment cycle and a staff member completed a six-week cartography online course. Jennifer also said GIS staff are working with the building and zoning offices on implementation of new permitting software.
