The Weld County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 15 approved a time extension to Feb. 28, 2026, for recording the map associated with Use by Special Review permit USR24‑0010 for a 27‑acre solar facility approved in August 2024 (Sunlight Farms, care of Pivot Solar 59 LLC).

Planning staff said Pivot requested the extension while awaiting final product sizing from their supplier to ensure the recorded map reflects the accurate array size and layout. Staff recommended approval and the board granted the extension by voice vote after a brief exchange confirming the requested deadline.

There was no public comment for the extension at the hearing. Planning staff advised the applicant to submit the updated map for county acceptance and recording by the February 2026 deadline.
