The council approved a work order (24‑05) to VA Paving Inc. of Cocoa, Florida, for milling and resurfacing the southern parking lots at the Front Street Civic Center, in the amount of $56,333.

Public works staff said parks and engineering staff reviewed the parking lot and determined resurfacing was needed; the project will address the southernmost lots that serve the park and the Civic Center. Staff explained that other portions of the lot will be repaved later when pier upgrade work is undertaken to avoid damage by construction equipment. The motion to authorize the city manager to sign the work order passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
