At a meeting of the Stillwater Economic Development Authority, the Chamber of Commerce presented its quarterly report and highlighted marketing, regional partnership and workforce initiatives, and the authority approved the consent docket 4-0.
Miss Moore, representing the Chamber of Commerce, told the authority the group had pursued a state Community Marketing Partnership Program ad that will run in Thunder Magazine and link via a QR code to Stillwater’s airport and economic development webpages. "We always have great things to report," Miss Moore said, noting the ad’s QR code will help the chamber track where interest originates and refine future outreach.
The chamber described several ongoing programs and partnerships the authority said are intended to support business recruitment and retention. Those items included a regional economic development roundtable with nearby communities (Cushing, Perkins and Perry), a commercial real-estate panel series, and the Small Business University program, which enrolled 19 people this year and graduated 17.
Miss Moore said the chamber is working with Meridian Technology on site visits and noted the state Department of Commerce had visited the company’s overseas facility as part of the recruitment process; the chamber said Stillwater remains the company’s top U.S. onshoring choice and a public announcement could come soon. The chamber also reported participation in a site selectors virtual roundtable and attendance at the Southern Economic Development Council conference in Oklahoma City.
On data and workforce strategy, the chamber said it is entering an agreement with the Center on Rural Innovation to translate workforce and demographic data into actionable programs. "Our goal is to take that information and then make it actionable steps out of it," Miss Moore said of the center’s platform and analytics work.
Looking ahead, the chamber listed several events and initiatives: an economic summit set for Nov. 14 featuring state and regional speakers; a “new to Stillwater” mixer for recent employees and residents; and hosting the All In for Oklahoma meeting in March 2026, which will bring statewide economic-development practitioners to Stillwater.
The authority recorded two formal votes during the meeting. A motion to approve the consent docket passed 4 to 0. Later, the authority approved a motion to adjourn by the same tally, 4 to 0.
