The Miami Beach Planning Board opened Oct. 7 by approving the minutes from the September meeting and addressing attendance and procedural notes. The agenda proceeded with both continued and new applications, public comment periods and several code-amendment transmittals. The board adjourned after completing the agenda and continuing one item to the November hearing.
Routine openings noted the meeting would be hybrid, available via Zoom, and reminded potential lobbyists to register. Staff swore in testimony and confirmed attendance. The board welcomed a new planning liaison, Deborah Tackett, and new staff support. The meeting moved through the agenda items described in these reports and concluded with the board setting Nov. 4 as the date to continue the temporary administrative CUP item.
These procedural items provide the administrative context for the substantive decisions described in separate reports: restaurant CUPs, a major mixed-use application, and several code amendments transmitted favorably to the commission.
