Jody Brown elected chair of Manchester Housing Commission in 4-1 vote

At its Aug. 13 meeting, the Manchester Housing Commission elected Jody Brown as commission chair, with a vote tally of 4–1. The commission had five voting members present for the vote; Pastor Clegg was absent and did not participate.

Commission leadership was raised as new business. Members nominated two candidates and cast folded ballots; the clerk counted and reported the result. The commission did not record a formal motion text or named mover/second for the election in the meeting record; the outcome was announced as Jody Brown 4 votes, the other candidate 1 vote.

Commissioners briefly discussed the duties and timing of future leadership reviews; the newly elected chair said she would work to bring the commission together and follow through on administrative items including outstanding meeting minutes.

The commission also recorded a unanimous vote to adjourn at the end of the meeting.
