The Manchester Board Mayor & Aldermen Committee on Human Resources and Insurance approved a request from the Department of Public Works to increase the number of veil inspectors designated for on‑call status from two to three.

Caleb Dobbins of the Department of Public Works told the committee the change aims to spread availability and responsibility: “there's never any more than 1 on call at any time. So there's no financial obligation. It's simply just trying to spread the availability or I should say the responsibility out to 3 people.”

Alderman Bergus moved to approve the request; Alderman Vincent seconded. The motion passed with the committee recording “Ayes have it.” The item was presented as a personnel/administrative matter and committee members asked no further questions.

The committee did not record individual vote tallies on the public record; the recorded outcome was approval.
