The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2025‑28 declaring Nov. 4–11, 2025 as a period to honor veterans and directed that the Lincoln County Courthouse be illuminated with green lights in support of Operation Green Light.
Commissioner Bruns read the resolution into the record, which recognized the service and sacrifices of veterans and encouraged citizens to display a green light in windows of homes and businesses during the designated week. The board voted to approve and authorized signatures on the resolution.
Following adoption, commissioners also approved issuing a countywide press release to publicize Operation Green Light; staff told the board the release will be distributed to all media outlets in Lincoln County and that officials had customized the press release and resolution language with assistance from county staff.
Commissioners praised the effort as a way to visibly demonstrate appreciation for veterans and asked staff to circulate the press release and coordinate the courthouse lighting schedule with facilities staff.
