The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners voted to recommend approval of a special designated liquor permit submitted by Highway 2 Depot to serve alcohol at an indoor wedding reception at the Homestead Pumpkin Patch venue on Nov. 15, 2025.
Applicant Dawn Mallory, formerly of Mullen and representing the Highway 2 Depot, signed in and described the applicant's experience operating similar events over several years and outlined responsible-service plans including trained servers and wristband identification for age verification. Commissioners and staff asked about protocols to prevent underage access; Mallory said the operation uses bracelets and trained personnel and typically handles 10–15 events per year.
The board voted to recommend approval and recorded the roll call vote in favor. Commissioners thanked Mallory and noted the venue’s history of events and a lack of complaints reported by neighbors.
