The Greenfield Union Elementary School District board approved its consent agenda at the Oct. 9 meeting, including routine invoices, leases and contracts. Two items that had been pulled for discussion — a monthly security-service invoice and district leases (consent item 4), and a two‑year services contract with the TriNet Group (consent item 10) — were discussed and approved separately.
Trustees asked staff detailed questions before approving the pulled items. On the security service and lease item, board members sought to confirm billing cadence and the lease-renewal schedule. Staff said the security service fee is a monthly charge (the packet covered September services) and that a district lease referenced in the packet is scheduled to end and come up for renewal in March 2026. On the lease payment referenced for a facility on the packet, staff said the lease was structured as a 10‑year agreement with the last scheduled payment in February 2026.
On TriNet Group (item 10), staff described the firm as an external consulting partner the district has used for more than a decade to search for state funding and to support the paperwork and audits that follow receipt of certain state funds. Staff said TriNet helps the district pursue state hardship and construction-related funding, coordinates with external auditors when grants are released, and supports final reporting. The contract approved at the meeting covers two years.
The board voted to approve the main consent package first; a separate motion to approve the two pulled items (4 and 10) passed on a roll-call vote.
