Committee approves wayfinding signs for North Manchester Hooksett Little League

The Manchester Board of Mayor & Aldermen’s Committee on Public Safety, Health and Traffic approved a request on behalf of the North Manchester Hooksett Little League for two directional wayfinding signs to guide visitors to the league’s fields.
The request, introduced by Alderman O'Neil on behalf of the league, asked for one sign on Webster Street eastbound at B Street with a left-turn arrow and one sign on Hooksett Road southbound approaching Webster and Beach Street with a right-turn arrow. Alderman O'Neil asked that the sign use the league logo and the letters "NMH" with "Little League" and arrows rather than spelling out the full league name.
Committee members asked staff to coordinate with Kristen (city staff) on sign size, color and placement. The committee noted the league is hosting district and state tournaments this year and that the fields can be difficult to find for out-of-town visitors.
Outcome
Members approved the directional signs by voice vote and directed the league and staff to coordinate on final design and installation.
