Teal Construction and Claycomb Architects reported progress on the Bond 2022 Rockport-Fulton High School additions and renovation during the district’s Oct. 16 board meeting. The project is described as 82% complete by billing with $32,010,000 authorized; contractors said they are targeting substantial completion in February 2026.
A contractor representative said recent work includes extensive interior finishes—flooring, ceiling grid, millwork—installation of plumbing fixtures and drinking fountains, ongoing low-voltage wiring and HVAC installation in athletic areas. Exterior work includes canopy installation and continued site work. The team described the program as phased: new spaces will be finished and occupied before older sections are demolished and final paving and landscaping occur.
Contractors noted work items scheduled for the coming month include completing storefront door installation, continuing canopy and site work, pouring concrete on upper levels, and completing mechanical, electrical and plumbing finishes so classrooms can be occupied. An elevator installation is underway, and athletic locker-room and weight-room finishes are in progress.
During board Q&A, a trustee asked whether the February 2026 date was final; the contractor confirmed it is the current target and clarified the phased occupancy approach that the date represents.
No formal action was taken; the presentation served as an update to the board and public.
