Committee postpones review of handicap parking policy and meter charges to next meeting

The Operations Management, Budget and Government Accountability Committee voted Oct. 21 to postpone consideration of a resolution that would have directed a review and potential amendment of handicap parking policies and parking meter charges in collaboration with the Hartford Parking Authority and disability rights organizations.
The resolution was introduced on the agenda as item 2.3 and listed as sponsored by Councilwoman Marie Rosado, Councilman John Gail and Councilman Josh Micton. A motion to postpone the item was made and seconded, and the committee approved the postponement by voice vote. Committee chair Amilka Hernandez said the item will appear on the committee agenda at its next meeting.
