After completing a Concord 360 leadership assessment and a six-month performance review, the Oskaloosa City Council on Oct. 20 approved a salary adjustment for the city manager from $165,000 to $170,000 per the terms of the employment contract.
Councilmembers praised the manager’s communication, team-building and strategic planning work, with multiple members citing improved cross-department collaboration and the manager’s role in advancing the city’s strategic plan and TIF policy work. The manager said the assessment provided helpful feedback and identified development areas but showed few significant weaknesses.
The council formally moved and approved the salary adjustment by roll call. The city manager’s evaluation materials will remain part of council records and will inform future reviews and performance goals.
