Jefferson County commissioners on June 17 directed airport staff to seek release of federal obligations on a parcel at Jeffco Airport Business Center East and authorized a purchase-and-sale agreement to sell a portion of that property to Great Lakes Capital Health Ventures LLC.
Airport staff explained the request would follow a process similar to a prior release for the Verve Industrial Park. The parcel under consideration — described as about 7.2 acres (Lot 1, replat A) at the Jeffco Airport Business Center East — would be released from FAA obligations to allow sale. Staff requested that the board direct the airport to proceed with paperwork necessary to seek the release and later to complete the sale.
In a subsequent agenda item, staff presented a purchase-and-sale agreement for the same 7.2-acre parcel. The purchase price was listed as $2,200,000; staff said the airport would receive about $1,700,000 of that purchase price. Commissioners authorized the county to proceed with the purchase-and-sale agreement and the release process; the board recorded unanimous support on both items.
Staff said airport staff will return with final documentation necessary to complete the release and closing. No conditions of environmental remediation or additional contingencies were detailed in the briefing.
