Todd Damsherr, who identified himself at the podium and presented a selection of local products from Silvercrest Winery, OD Greens, Working Tradition Farm and Crooked Creek Ranch, thanked the board. "First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for the appreciation and the resolution that you've just presented," Damsherr said. Commissioners responded with brief praise for the county’s farms and wineries.
One resident who spoke during the public portion said local agricultural auctions and youth 4-H activities reinforce community pride in homegrown livestock and produce. Commissioners also heard praise for local efforts this winter to provide Code Blue shelter space during severe weather; a speaker said the county’s fair board and volunteers helped keep people safe.
The resolution passed by recorded voice vote with all three commissioners recorded in the affirmative.
The proclamation does not create new county policy or funding; it is a formal recognition to mark National Agriculture Week and highlight local producers and agritourism.
