The Chickasha Mayor and Council approved several routine items on the consent docket and regular agenda, including the purchase of a 2026 Ford F-250 crew cab chassis and a use-on-review for a liquor store ownership change at 615 South Fourth Street.
The council authorized the purchase of a 2026 Ford F-250 crew cab with chassis from Bill Knight Ford on state contract SW035 not to exceed $50,033.80 for the (as listed in the agenda) "bridal control" division. Staff said the city will procure and install the utility box as a separate purchase through the city manager and finance processes.
The council also approved a use-on-review and the related ordinance for a liquor store at 615 South Fourth Street after Planning Commission review. Staff said the property is already a package store and the application reflects a change of ownership; the Planning Commission forwarded the use-on-review to council with a recommendation for approval.
Both motions passed on roll call by unanimous vote among members voting on those items.
