Santa Clara County board adopts proclamations on dementia, breast cancer and Filipino American history; honors green fleet, community foundations and public‑saf

The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors adopted a package of proclamations and commendations in open session, including a proclamation declaring October 2025 as Lewy body dementia awareness month, a proclamation recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a proclamation marking Filipino American History Month, a recognition for the County Fleet Management Divisionfor national green fleet honors, and a series of commendations for community foundations, Working Partnerships USA and county employees.

County Supervisor Sylvia Arenas presented the Lewy body dementia proclamation, citing national and local data on dementia and urging broader awareness and services. "Dementia is a growing public health challenge that undermines the quality of life for our residents and why it's so critical that we continue to raise awareness of our brain health over the life span of the entire family," Supervisor Arenas said.
