Board members discussed maintenance items at the pavilion and nearby facilities: two exterior doors (one at a kitchen entrance and one on an outdoor restroom) that allow drafts and snow entry, lattice under a deck that needs replacement or repair, and sewer tank-heater options to prevent freezing. Park staff said they would proceed with replacing the doors and address deck repairs if costs are within the existing park budget.
Staff also reported playground and tree areas that will be retained in future lot divisions and noted mowing and equipment concerns. The presenter said pick-up hours for seasonal staff were changing and volunteer-run programs and maintenance remain central to park operations.
No formal funding appropriation for the sign was approved; the presenter said volunteers are seeking donations to cover the sign cost. The board approved routine repairs that were within the current budget and directed staff to get quotes for the other items.
