Fabens ISD board approves renewals of administrators and teachers; packet updated to reflect a resignation

The Fabens ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve superintendent recommendations for renewal of administrators, nonadministrative personnel and classroom teachers, and to reemploy probationary, term and continuing contract employees.
"We do need to make a change to page 4. There was an employee that did resign that was originally in the packet," said Aida Polanco, the director of human resources, as she introduced the item. Polanco said most contracts presented are one-year contracts; continuing contracts applied to two individuals identified in the packet.
Trustee Mister Flores moved to approve the renewals and Mister Morales seconded. The board approved the renewals by voice vote, recorded as 7-0.
No individual contract amounts or names beyond the packet correction were discussed publicly during the meeting; administration presented the revised page to trustees at the dais. The board did not take separate roll-call votes for individual personnel items during this consent-like agenda item.
