Greenville County Council approves several rezoning ordinances, denies and refers others

For CZ69, a request involving 429 and 537 Harrison Bridge Road in Simpsonville (District 26) and described as a PD major change, Bradley moved to refer the item back to the Planning and Development Committee; the referral was approved.
On second reading the council approved a rezoning request for property associated with George A. Parker (North Rutherford Road and Pine Grove in Greer, District 18) to AG, as recommended by the Planning Commission and the Planning & Development Committee. The council denied CZ72 (a rezoning request at 210 Earl Drive/Larry Court, Greenville District 23) when Bradley moved to deny the ordinance at second reading and the motion to deny carried. The council also approved CZ73 (6615 Bethel Church Road in Greenville District 25) at second reading on the committee’s recommendation.
The council held several multi‑county industrial park amendment items — listed on the agenda as Greenville‑Anderson Multicounty Industrial Park Agreement Amendment (Project Red Fox) and a separate Greenville‑Anderson/Harrison county amendment — until the Feb. 4 public hearing.
