Planning staff had initially recommended denial of the RMA request, saying the district “will permit uses that are not compatible with the surrounding area” even though the proposed duplex density aligns with the Taylor community plan designation. The committee voted to amend the docket to R10 and then approved the item as amended, sending it on to full council carrying the R10 recommendation.
