Greenville County’s Finance Committee approved a $10,000 community project award to Lake Cunningham Fire District to help fund a digital fire sign, part of a larger $27,613 project.

Mr. Lambert presented the application and said the $10,000 would be composed of contributions from multiple council districts; Lake Cunningham’s total project cost is $27,613 and the county award would cover about 36% of that amount. “This is a $10,000 request by Lake Cunningham Fire District,” Lambert said.

Councilor Long, Councilor Russo and Councilor Shaw were identified in the presentation as coordinating funding for the county share. The committee moved and approved the award by voice vote; no roll-call tally is recorded in the transcript. The district’s representatives previously discussed station needs and capital planning earlier in the meeting.
