Board approves Northpointe contract, stadium lighting bid, student meal prices and other operational items

Oregon City — The Oregon City School District Board of Education approved several operational contracts and bids during its April 15 meeting, including a multi-service contract with Northpointe Educational Service Center, funds for professional development and a zero-interest financing plan for stadium lighting.

Northpointe contract: The board approved a fiscal-year 2026 contract with Northpointe Educational Service Center to provide preschool and special-education related services to the district; the agenda cited an estimated contract amount described during roll-call as approximately $1,043,526 with $625,000 deducted from state foundation payments for assigned preschool teacher aid and related services. The board approved the contract by roll call.

Professional services and grants: The board approved a contract with the Center for Model Schools for professional development and coaching for 2025–26 not to exceed $136,620 (to be paid with Title I funds), and a one-year contract with Focus 3 in the amount of $1,000 for services beginning 07/01/2025. Student meals and other approvals: The board set student meal prices for the 2025–26 school year (high school $3.70; junior high $3.45; intermediate and elementary $3.20; breakfast $2.15), approved an amended one-year lease extension with Nationwide Children’s Hospital Toledo LLC for the former Mercy Health Center through 05/01/2026, and approved other consent-agenda items including disposals and donations.
