Morristown council introduces three ordinances including $55,322 playground reappropriation; public hearing set for Sept. 29

Council members voted to introduce the ordinance by title; the clerk said the ordinance will be considered further after the Sept. 29 public hearing.
Ordinance O-32-2025 would authorize execution of a rights-of-way agreement with Comcast Business Communications LLC to permit installation, use and maintenance of telecommunications facilities within public rights-of-way to provide telecommunications services. The council voted to introduce the ordinance by title; a hearing is scheduled Sept. 29.
Ordinance O-33-2025 would amend prior pay ordinances to set compensation for certain management and nonunion positions in town government. That ordinance also was introduced by title and will return for public hearing on Sept. 29.
Why this matters: each ordinance would change municipal code, budget allocations or contractual permissions; public hearing on Sept. 29 will allow comments and possible amendment or adoption.
