The Euclid Board of Control on Monday, Aug. 25 approved two requisitions from the city's wastewater treatment fund to replace equipment and add a staff vehicle.
Assistant Director Sage described the items for the board, saying, "This is for unloading and installing a new fine screen in the treatment train number 1, not fire screen, fine, f I n e, and removing the old 1." Sage later said, "This is for the purchase of a Ford Bronco for use by the wastewater treatment staff in their daily work." The board approved the purchases by voice vote.
The first requisition authorized payment of $9,530 to Daniel Manos doing business as General Crane for unloading, installing a new fine screen in treatment train No. 1 and removing the old screen. The second requisition authorized $64,895 to Valley Ford Truck for the purchase of a Ford Bronco; both were charged to the wastewater treatment fund.
Both motions to approve the requisitions were moved and seconded during the requisitions portion of the agenda and passed on a voice vote. The transcript records board members answering "Aye" when the chair called for the question. Councilman Cosgrove had been excused earlier in the meeting and did not participate in the votes.
No additional discussion or follow-up tasks about installation timelines, warranty terms, or vehicle assignment were recorded in the meeting transcript.
