Euclid, Ohio — The Euclid Civil Service Commission voted July 1 to remove multiple candidates from the Euclid Police Department certified eligibility list, approved revised procedures for the department’s sergeant and lieutenant promotion examinations and certified a new eligibility list effective 07/01/2025.
The changes to the promotion process were presented by Captain Hauser, who said tests and assessments are being adjusted at the request of Clancy and Associates, the contractor administering the exams. "We were asked by Clancy and Associates to add some language... that no electronic devices, specifically potentially able to record, be allowed on the testing or assessment sites," Captain Hauser said. He also summarized added language on dress: "per the civil service commission business attire not uniforms."
