Euclid Board of Control approves routine equipment and service requisitions

The Euclid Board of Control voted unanimously Monday, June 9, to approve five requisitions totaling $76,293.87 for city services and equipment, and to excuse Councilwoman Diebeck from the meeting.

The purchases — funded from the general fund, the equipment replacement fund and the Street Maintenance construction fund — covered a contract for building‑inspection services, replacement of treatment‑plant and street‑department equipment, and the purchase of a trailer for the public lands department.

Director Stevens moved and Director Smith seconded a motion to excuse Councilwoman Diebeck, which passed by voice vote. Director Cooney moved to approve the minutes from the board's June 2 meeting; Director Grogan Myers seconded, and the motion passed.

The board approved a $13,266 requisition to Safe Built Ohio from the general fund for the contract covering chief building official services for the month of May. The board then approved a $16,550 requisition to Romack Mechanical from the equipment replacement fund for replacement of an air‑conditioning unit in the Membrane Building’s motor control room on the west side of the facility.

A $23,764.71 requisition to Endress and Hauser, paid from the equipment replacement fund, was approved for replacement and startup of the flow meter for the master meter that controls flow coming in from Willowick. The board approved a $16,863.16 requisition to Ohio Capped from the Street Maintenance construction fund for line boring and cylinder rebuilding of lift‑arm pins on a loader used by the street department.

Finally, the board approved a $5,850 requisition to O'Reilly Equipment from the general fund for the purchase of a trailer to be used by the public lands department. Each requisition was presented, briefly described, and approved with no substantive debate recorded.

With no further business, Director Stevens moved to adjourn, Director Cooney seconded, and the board voted to adjourn.
