The Borough of Kenilworth accepted its annual audit for the period ending Dec. 31, 2024, and agreed to a corrective action plan addressing a single auditor recommendation, officials said.

Council members said the audit contained one recommendation: that the board of health turn over receipts to the borough treasurer within 48 hours of receipt. The corrective action plan accepted by the council instructs that this practice be implemented immediately.

Councilman Morrow presented the finance report and told the council the auditors’ recommendation and the corrective action plan would be included on the consent agenda for formal approval. The council approved the consent agenda by a single motion; the meeting minutes record that resolutions 25-170 through 25-187 were approved by roll call.
