O'Ryan said the design aims to showcase “learning on display” with windows overlooking shop areas and to use durable materials while incorporating Corsicana blue and wood features from the existing building.
Early childhood: The proposed early childhood campus site is south of Eagle Middle School off Drain Road. Designers are studying queuing lanes, parent and bus drop‑offs, playground placement to keep play areas secure and the building orientation. Concept images include a library with a child‑scaled “play town” for early learning activities.
Transportation and support facilities: The team presented a transportation facility sited between the proposed ECC and the middle school with multiple bus parking spaces, three shop bays, a wash bay and staff parking. Designers said they are evaluating pre‑engineered metal building options versus conventional construction and will refine choices based on market pricing.
